I’m thrilled to share a significant update in our journey of bringing this game to life. We’ve reached a pivotal milestone in the development process – the integration of the Minimap and a basic HUD. This advancement marks a crucial step towards creating a seamless and immersive gameplay experience.

Crafting the Minimap

  • Strategic Overview: The Minimap is now functional, offering players a bird’s-eye view of the immediate surroundings. This feature is crucial for navigation, understanding the terrain, and strategizing movements and attacks.

Developing the Basic HUD

I wanted to ensure that the information is presented in a way that is immediately understandable and doesn’t clutter the screen.

What’s Next: Adding Core Elements

  • Health Bar: An essential component that visually represents the player’s health. This will be one of the next features to be integrated into the HUD.
  • Energy/Stamina Bar: To accompany the Health Bar, an Energy or Stamina Bar will also be added. This will indicate the player’s available energy, which is vital for executing moves or abilities.
  • XP/Level Indicator: To track progression, an XP (experience points) and Level indicator will be included. This will give players a sense of achievement and growth as they advance through the game.
