So today I decided to head start the “New Year’s Resolution” and start working on my game.
I’m new to UE5 (or Unreal in general) but understand C++, so I went on using Game Salad (which i used for teaching previously) to build rough demos of the game.
This is mainly to help me structure and test the different elements and interactions i will need on a general basis before coding in UE.
I want the game to be a Top-Down View Action Adventure on a Micro level and Strategic Command and Conquer on the Macro level.
Day #1: Coding
– Basic Character Movement
– Basic Collectibles (Resources + Damage/Enemy)
– Basic Mission Objective
– Basic Collision and Background Music/sound
